Oberalp to Open a Week Early

The Sedrun / Oberalp skiing area will be open for this coming weekend, a week earlier than originally planned, following the good snowfall over the past few months.

The Alpsu T-bar will be opened on Saturday.

The original opening date for the Sedrun / Oberalp skiing area was 29 November, but the first T-bar from Oberalp will now be open on 22 November. It is only accessible using the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn train services. Gemsstock also opened a week early.

The new 2014/15 ski season dates are listed below:

Gemsstock: 8 - 9, 15 - 16, 22 - 23, 29 - 30 November, 6 December 2014 - 26 April 2015
N├Ątschen: 6 - 7, 13 - 14, 20 December 2014 - 22 March 2015
Sedrun / Oberalp: 22 - 23, 29 - 30 November, 6 - 7, 13 - 14, 20 December 2014 - 12 April 2015
Valtgeva: 20 December 2014 - 22 March 2015

In addition to this, the Bernhard Russi run (the glacier) on Gemsstock will be open for the first time this ski season, as will the Lutersee T-bar and run, following the opening of the top cable car last week.

The Lutersee run will be open.
The Alpsu run is the only one which will be open this weekend.
